From Bluestems to Bluegills Super Saturday at the
ISM Location: Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, IL – Illinois is 200 years old in 2018, and families are invited to learn about Illinois’ State Symbols at the “From Bluestems to Bluegills” Super Saturday event on Saturday, January 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Activities during the event will include making a bluegill fish print, designing a personal State Seal, and other fun and games for children ages 5 and older. The Museum will also have objects from its Illinois Legacy Collection related to the state symbols on display. Activities should take 30-40 minutes to complete and feature crafts and educational games. Parents and families are encouraged to participate.
