Welcome: Recent Acquisitions to the Art Collection

Where: Illinois State Museum Second (2nd) Floor Gallery

This exhibition features works on paper that have come into the Illinois State Museum’s art collection in the past year. Many of the works were produced between 2020 and 2021 and reflect the moment; a time impacted by a global pandemic and a reckoning around racial violence and discrimination. The diversity of artists featured reflects our museum’s efforts to collect and present the artistic voices representative of all of Illinois. The Illinois State Museum is grateful to welcome these bold and powerful voices into our collection.
