First Look at a New Collection: New Items from Abraham Lincoln’s Springfield Family

ISM-Springfield
First Look at a New Collection: New Items from Abraham Lincoln’s Springfield Family Join us at the Illinois State Museum’s Research and Collections Center for an exclusive new look at an exciting new donation of items from the Hickox-Edwards family of Springfield. Mary Lincoln’s sister Elizabeth Edwards and her husband Ninian were Abraham Lincoln’s in-laws; their children were his nieces and nephews. This small collection of family items, passed down through five generations, offers a never-before-seen window into Lincoln’s extended family’s life in Springfield.
