Taste of ISM: The Female Codebreakers that History Forgot
ISM-Springfield
Before the NSA and the CIA, Elizabeth Smith Friedman, Genevieve Grotjan, Frances Steen, and many more women deciphered some of the most challenging coded messages in the world. Discover the hidden stories of these amazing female cryptographers who brought about the ends of both world wars, brought down smuggling rings and mobsters, and changed the course of history. Because of the top-secret nature of their work, they had to keep silent about what they were doing, with the credit often going to the men around them. Today we will shine a light on some of their many accomplishments. ROORMLRH HGZGV NFHVFN Can you crack the code?
