Nature Adventure for Kids on Wednesdays in June

LEWISTOWN, IL – The Illinois State Museum-Dickson Mounds is hosting a series of Nature Adventure Days for kids ages 9-12 years old on Wednesdays, from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., during the month of June. Enjoy outdoor adventures and hands-on learning in the natural world. Activities will include hiking, nature observation, wildlife viewing, and scientific laboratory discoveries. Topics and locations may be different each Wednesday.
Museum staff will provide transportation during the Nature Adventure Day programs. Participants must provide their own snacks, drinks, and lunch. Dress appropriately for the outdoor activities. Participants may sign-up for individual days or all four days at least one week prior to the day of each camp. There is a suggested donation of $50 per child per program.
The Illinois State Museum-Dickson Mounds is located between Lewistown and Havana off Illinois Routes 78 and 97. The museum is open free to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day.
