“Biodiversity Live!” Family Event This Saturday at at Illinois State Museum

SPRINGFIELD, IL – Illinois’ rich biodiversity will be featured at the “Biodiversity Live!” family event at the Illinois State Museum in Springfield on Saturday, September 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Families can discover Illinois’ biodiversity through games, activities, and crafts, as well as learn about famous women scientists, plant native vegetation, and create a nature journal. The Illinois EPA and Lincoln Memorial Garden will have activities to share. Wildlife Prairie Park will be present a live animal program at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Museum.
All activities are free with admission. On September 22, the Illinois State Museum is participating in Smithsonian Magazine’s “Museum Day Live.” Visitors can go to smithsonian.com/museumday to print a voucher for two free adult admission tickets to the Illinois State Museum. Child and senior admission is always free at the ISM.
