Kid’s Night Bugs Program at Dickson Mounds Museum on September 2nd

LEWISTOWN, IL – At Dickson Mounds Museum on Saturday, September 2, 2017, from 7:00-10:00 p.m. the Kid’s Night program will be ‘Bugs.’  Using special equipment to attract insects, entomology expert Jim Wiker will share his knowledge and teach participants about the different species.  Participants may also enjoy viewing insect specimens from the Illinois State Museum’s collections. 

Admission is free; however, donations are appreciated.  Registration is not required.  Participants should dress for the outdoors and bring their own flashlights and blankets or lawn chairs.  This Kid’s Day program is recommended for kids five years old and up with an adult. 

The Illinois State Museum-Dickson Mounds is located between Lewistown and Havana off Illinois Routes 78 and 97. The museum is open free to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day.
