Possible online services disruption due to Internet related outage

A worldwide technology outage is causing disruption to some State of Illinois online systems.  We are aware of this issue and are diligently working on restoration.

The Illinois State Museum is temporarily closing its flagship facility to visitors beginning Thursday, August 1, 2024, to accommodate a plumbing project that will involve asbestos removal and construction. The project is expected to last three months.

We'll go behind the scenes at ImpactLife's building and labs to learn how they process and store lifesaving blood products, then find out how their remarkable 24-hour volunteer transport services move these products across the Midwest! Finally, we will gather at the ImpactLife Center on Wabash to learn how blood is collected. You will also have an opportunity to discover your blood type! This program is free for Museum Society Members.
