- Illinois State Museum, Springfield
Join National Park Service archeologists and Lincon's Home Curator Susan Haake as they talk about different methods used to determine if and where archeological excavations should be undertaken. Archeologists from the Midwest Archeological Center were on-site at Lincoln's Home the week of July 12th using ground-penetrating radar, and other equipment to locate house foundations, privies, and other outbuildings. They will be using this information to determine what next steps should be taken. Sometimes no digging is needed!
