The Emiquon Partnership will host a natural resource fair that will include exhibits, materials, displays and media at the Havana City Center. This activity is open to the public and we encourage area residents and visitors alike to take advantage of this unique opportunity to see all of these partnering agencies together in one building. The Nature Conservancy’s Emiquon Preserve:
• Cinematic production “Nature Returns to Emiquon”
• Exhibits showcasing the remarkable restoration of the wetland
 

The Illinois Natural History Survey:
Forbes Biological Station & Illinois River Biological Station:
• Native fish mount displays
• Exhibits showcasing historical & ongoing research projects
• Field photographs
• Native mussel displays
• Information on the invasive Asian carp and mounts
• Mounted waterfowl and bird band displays

Illinois River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge Complex:
• Guided nature hike by a Park Ranger at 8:30 a.m. or 2 p.m. to view the Illinois River and Bellrose Island
• Mounted waterfowl display
• USFWS exhibits of the Illinois River Refuges

The University of Illinois-Springfield Therkildsen Field Station at Emiquon:
• Microscopes for viewing plankton and insect larvae sampled from the Emiquon Preserve and the Illinois River
• Imagery displays from our camera trapping project documenting wildlife found in the Emiquon Preserve

Illinois State Museum-Dickson Mounds:
• Variety of hands-on educational displays and activities highlighting the Ancient Native American life in the Illinois River Valley
