How did women achieve a bell-shaped silhouette in the mid-19th century? By wearing many, many layers of undergarments! Join Curator of History Erika Holst on a walk through the Fashioning Illinois exhibition to learn about Victorian undergarments and the proper order in which they were worn. As a special bonus, you'll go behind the scenes into the textiles storage area to see the undergarments that did not make it into the exhibit.
Registration can be found here. This program is free though donations are appreciated. Advanced registration is required and participation is limited.
